Working within Aviation for over 25 years, Allan has gained a vast array of experience from several different roles including working for GE Aviation and British Airways in his early career.

Allan has extensive experience of delivering both Consultancy and facilitated Training services to a diverse range of Aviation clients from both the Commercial and Military sectors, including Aerodromes, Maintenance and Production Organisations, as well as working with other allied safety critical industries such as Rail and Oil & Gas.

A keen advocate of Error Management, Allan firmly believes that the lessons learnt within the Aerospace Industry around the development and establishment of a  ‘Just Culture’, and the on-going challenge of consistently applying it, when often it’s the outcome that can bias an organisations reaction to human error rather than looking to find the root cause, are equally applicable to all safety critical industries especially those who rely on ‘humans’ working and interacting within complex sociotechnical systems.

Allan is a full member of the Royal Aeronautical Society, and has experience working with industry accreditation bodies in the development of NVQ’s & Technical Certificates for the Aerospace Industry.

In his spare time Allan likes to keep fit via running and hill walking, as well as being a keen golfer.
